At this time, the estimated cost per individual will be between $250 – $275. I will have the exact amount per individual soon. This includes conference fees, hotel rooms, transportation, and post conference theme park tickets for Sunday, June 21. We will either be going to Islands of Adventure or Epic Universe. We are very flexible with payment options. You can pay in installments or in full anytime between now and June 14. Please ensure you are fully paid by Sunday, June 14.
Due to the time constraints, we will have 1 meeting prior to the Steubenville Conference. The time and date of this meeting is TBD (Either Sunday June 7 or Sunday June 14). During this meeting, I would like to discuss what is expected of us, what we may expect during this conference and suggestions on achieving the best God experience. We will also discuss logistics and any questions we may have. Please plan on attending and parents are encouraged to attend as well.
We have secured 2 passenger vans for transportation to and from Orlando. I (Noel) will be driving one, and Mr. Richard will be driving the other. Both of us will have been checked and cleared to drive by the Diocese.
We plan on leaving Blessed Trinity on Friday, June 19 at 1PM and arrive back to Blessed Trinity on Sunday, June 21 around 10PM. For those who are helping with VBS, Mrs. Linda has indicated it would be okay to leave after the closing ceremony – please bring your stuff with you that Friday unless you plan on going back home to pick everything up. Parents, please make the necessary arrangements to ensure your teen is dropped off and picked up on-time. We will ensure your teen communicates with you the proper pick-up time on Sunday.
ROOMING: We will be staying at the Rosen Hotel throughout the weekend. We will secure enough rooms for all participants. The female and male teens will be split and each room will have ample room for 3 to 4 teen participants – 2 double beds. Please note that no males are allowed in female rooms and vice versa at any time.
REGISTRATION: Registration has begun and I have sent some links out already. If you haven’t received a link to register yet, please be patient as I will be sending them out as I get them. Some registrations were put in later than others. I have ensured all teens and adult chaperones with special dietary needs and allergies recieved their registration first – which you should have already received. If you did not, please let me know (see next paragraph).
FOOD & MEALS: If your teen has allergies, please ensure to complete the registration ASAP as the cut off for the allergy friendly meals is Sunday, May 17. Friday Dinner and Lunch and Dinner on Saturday is included in the conference. Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday as well as lunch and dinner at the theme park on Sunday is not. Breakfast can be purchased downstairs in the hotel quick restaurants or coffee bar. We may be able to make some arrangements for breakfast but we’ll have more details on this closer to the conference. Please ensure your teen has adequate money for the meals that are not included.
As always, we will plan on gathering together at the end of each night to go over our experience of the day, have small group discussions and have a good night snack or meal. I am still trying to gather donations for these nightly snacks/meal. If your family would like to sponsor one of these nights, or know of someone who would love to, please contact me directly.
There is a gift shop at the conference so you may want to have some spending money for books, gifts, etc.
If you have any immediate questions, please reach directly out to me. Thank you for trusting me and Blessed Trinity with your teen.
