07/01/2024 – UPDATES
Final count of participation is 21. 5 adult chaperones and 15 teen participants and Fr. Matt King.

Thank you all for completing your online Life Teen registrations. I have sent a link (https://btccjax.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/2024-SteubenvilleFL-Forms.pdf) to download the BTCC forms needed for the trip. Please complete these forms and turn them in during our Steubenville Final Meeting on Monday, July 8 @ 6PM – 7PM. Please plan on attending. Parents are also encouraged to attend.
At this time, those of you who have not yet completed your final payment please plan on doing so. The final cost is $275 per participant. During this meeting, I would like to discuss what is expected of us, what we may expect during this conference and suggestions on achieving the best God experience.
We still do not have any final plans for breakfast but we have a few options that we can discuss on Monday as well.
We have secured 2 passenger vans for transportation to and from Orlando. I (Noel) will be driving one, and Mr. Felix will be driving the other. Both of us have been checked and cleared to drive by the Diocese and we the drivers for our last trip, Rock the Universe, this past January.
We plan on leaving Blessed Trinity on Friday, July 12 at 1PM and arrive back to Blessed Trinity on Sunday, July 14 around 10PM. Parents, please make the necessary arrangements to ensure your teen is on-time and picked promptly. We will ensure your teen communicates with you the proper pick-up time on Sunday.
05/11/2024 – Initial Information.
At this time, we have 12 teen participants, 5 adult chaperones and Fr. Matt attending the conference.
Total cost of the event per teen participant is $275.00. This includes, conference registration fees, hotel rooms, transportation and Sunday tickets to Sea World. Payments can be made anytime up to July 7th.
Here is the suggested payment schedule:
Sunday, May 19 – Initial Deposit of $75
Sunday, June 23 – Payment of $100
Sunday, July 7 – Payment of $100
The plan is to depart Friday, July 12 at 1PM to arrive at the Rosen by 3:30PM. At this time, we will be taking 2 rental vans. If we get more teen participation, we will have bus transportation. Once we get to the Rosen, we do not have any plans to leave the hotel until after the conference ends on Sunday, July 14, after Mass at noon. We will then depart the Rosen and spend the remaining of the day at Sea World, Orlando. We plan to leave by 8PM to arrive back in Jacksonville a little after 10PM.
Meals included at the conference: Friday dinner, Saturday lunch and dinner. Breakfast is not included but can be purchased at the hotel. We may make other arrangement for our group breakfast.
I do expect everyone to already had lunch on Friday before we depart and each participant will be responsible for their meals/drinks at Sea World on Sunday. As always, we will plan on gathering together at the end of each night to go over our experience of the day and have a good night snack/meal. I am still trying to gather donations for or nightly meal and possibly breakfast. If you know someone who would like to sponsor a meal, please give them my number.
There is a gift shop at the conference so you may want to have some spending money for books, gifts, etc.
