The Total Payment per attendee is currently set at $450.  I have outlined a suggested payment schedule to help make it easy for everyone.  However payments are paid, please ensure you have the full amount paid by 11/15/2025.

Blessed Trinity NCYC Suggested Payment schedule:
August 15 – $100
September 15 – $125
October 15 – $100
November 15 – $125

(All checks need to be made payable to Blessed Trinity Catholic Church.  Noel will provide receipt of payment – it is recommended you keep these handy in case of any accounting errors).

Please note that unless certain circumstances occur, any payments given towards NCYC cannot be refunded and we do expect the full amount to be paid as the parish is already making payments to the Diocese as scheduled as well as taking care of advance payments towards airline and group travel expenses.  At this point, we can no longer cancel any NCYC participates.

Lunch and Dinner Option:  St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Downtown Indianapolis will be selling boxed lunches again this year at NCYC, from Thursday, November 20, through Saturday, November 22. Both lunch and dinner options are available. The church is conveniently located across the street from the Indianapolis Convention Center, making pick-up of boxed lunches easy for your group.  Each boxed lunch includes a sandwich, a bag of chips, an apple, dessert, and a bottle of water, priced at $10 per person. Proceeds benefit their IUI/PUI college students’ trip to the FOCUS SEEK Conference this January.

This would make a great and fast Lunch Option.  This is not mandatory – There are plenty of options and places for lunch and dinner around the area. We will discuss this further at our first NCYC meeting TBD. Attached is the order form for the Box Lunch program, which includes meal options, payment information, and contact details.  Please note the deadline to place orders is Friday, November 14.

The Diocese is working on the diocesan dinner gathering for Saturday evening.  This is included in our package.  More information will be passed down at a later date.

All bags entering the conference at the convention center and LOS needs to be a clear bag. We will be placing per-orders for 2025 NCYC Clear Bags in August for those who want to participate. There are 2 options. We will discuss this further and place a bulk order for those who wish to make an advance purchase before the deadline of August 31. **UPDATE: AT THIS TIME ALL CLEAR BAGS REQUESTED HAVE BEEN ORDERED AND WILL BE PASSED OUT TO THOSE WHO ORDERED ONCE IT ARRIVES.

  • On Sunday, November 23, the bus will depart hotel to Ind at 0400.

b. Lodging & Meals

  • Breakfast, lunch, dinner expectations (included meals vs. bring money).
    • Hotel does not provide free breakfast – however at this time, the Dioceses is attempting to make some arrangements.  More to follow on breakfast.
    • Dioceses dinner will be held at the Crown Plaza on Saturday evening at 5:15pm before closing ceremony and Mass.
    • Please plan accordingly for meals.
      • Boxed lunch and dinners are available for purchases through St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (right across the street from the convention center).  Each box will have a sandwich, bag of chips, apple, dessert and bottle of water.  Cost is $10 each.  The deadline to pre-order is November 14.  Please see me if you want to pursue this option.
      • There are a number of quick service restaurants nearby as well as a food court at the mall as well as convention center concession stands.
        • NCYC 101: Places to Eat – NCYC
        • At this time you will need to plan to purchase at least 5-6 meals for lunch and dinner.  Possibly adding breakfast for each morning.  Post conference/evening meals has already been donated.

c. Brief Packing List

  • Modest, comfortable clothing and shoes, layers for weather as it will be cold.  Don’t forget gloves and beanies/hats.  We will receive a long sleeve shirt, a hoodie and a funny hat.
    • Display of different hats and purpose for them.
  • Don’t forget your Bible, rosary & sometime to journal with.
  • Bring a reusable water bottle and even though it is cold weather, you still need to stay hydrated.
  • You will need a clear bag to enter the convention center and LOS.  I have pre-order clear bags and totes for those who placed their order with me.  As of now, it is too late to pre-order but you can purchase them there however I would recommend getting one before hand just in case they sell out or something.
    • Clear bags must be max size of 12”x6”x12”, One-gallon clear pastic freezer bags, Small clutch bags has a max size: 4.5”x6.5”
    • Bags not allowed: backpacks, camera bags, fanny packs and regular purses.
    • Execptions: “nursing and medical supplies (may be subjected to screening) and group leaders will be allowed to bring larger backpacks or messenger-style bags for practial reasons.”
  • Spending money – There is a huge area for vendors for you to purchase stuff.  You will also need enough money for food as we covered that already.
  • What NOT to bring.  I would not bring any expensive items that you don’t want to loose or damage.  I would recommend packing 1 carry on bag to avoid any fees.  From the Delta airlines website:  “Each passenger flying with Delta can bring 1 carry-on bag and 1 personal item free of charge (such as a purse, laptop bag or item of similar size that will fit underneath the seat in front of you). If you plan to bring roll-aboard luggage or a large bag to store in the overhead bin, you can find size and more information on the Delta Airlines Website.  If you are to check in a bag, you will be responsible for the additional costs.  Please refer to the Delta Airlines website for more details.
  • Stay in groups of 3 or more.  Always communicate to me where you are going if you are leaving the convention center for food, etc.  While we are at LOS General Sessions, there is no need to go in and out.
  • Check-in times.
  • Respect for adults and peers.
  • Cell phone use guidelines.
  • Chaperones’ role: guide, not babysit — this is your journey too.

5. Spiritual Preparation

3 Things to Start Preparing Spiritually:

  1. Prayer – start praying daily for NCYC.  Ask the Holy Spirit to prepare you as well as us as a group, but all the young church and all attending NCYC.  I recommend praying the Rosary weekly, if not daily.  Go to adoration weekly.
  2. Open Heart – be ready for surprises from God.
  3. Community – remember we’re going as a group; unity matters.  Share with each other how you are feeling leading up to NCYC.  Talk to those of us who attended the last time and ask them about their experience and share what you hope to experience.
    1. We already have a donor for the food for all 3 nights – each night we will gather together back at the hotel to share our experience for day.  Please be open to share yours, even if it’s just something small that you saw.  Remember, the smallest things can make the biggest impact.

Simple prayer of openness:

“Lord, prepare our hearts for this journey. Help us to travel with open hands, open minds, and open hearts, ready to encounter You in new ways at NCYC.”

        • Old Used T-Shirts: We’ll repurpose them into washable, reusable bags to benefit Hearts in Motion.

  • Adult Chaperones
    • Discuss roles: safety, accountability, presence, support.
      • Adult chaperones should not be baby sitting. Please ensure our teens are doing well throughout the day, however also ensure you are taking part in what NCYC has to offer to the adults as well.
      • Please help Noel keep track of all teens when needed and help ensure we move about the conference together as scheduled (all should be seated together in LOS during the general sessions).
      • Set clear expectations for supervision and modeling faith.

3. Practical Prep & Group Guidelines (Safety and Security at NCYC – NCYC)

    • Respect hotel, travel, and conference rules.
    • Be present: limit phone use, especially during sessions.
    • Encourage each other in faith / get to know each other better.
      • Recommend to spend some time with others you do not know well. Either join their group or invite individuals to come with your group.
  • Packing & Preparation Tips
